Races

Drivers Den holds three types of races. These are: -

Normal

Races are normally over 10 laps. The first to complete the 10 laps is the winner. Points from these races are totaled and at the end of the year awards are given to those with the most points.

2 hour special

Once a quarter there is a two hour special. In this event all the drivers are split into teams with the team’s objective to get the most number of laps. Everyone who participates is given either a gold medal, silver medal, bronze medal or a certificate depending on where their team’s position in the race.

24 hour challenge

The 24 hour challenge is an event that started last year. The 24 hour challenge is a sponsored slot car race that is held for 24 hours with all the proceeds going to the Richard House Hospice. Richard House Hospice is a hospice for children.

In its first year the race raised over £1500 for the Richard House hospice in Beckton.
